That would explain his own tattoos then and the fact that most of the times I saw him, he seemed to be drawing something, (mostly on himself at those times).
I saw him have a brief (and in my opinion, not entirely fully engaged) conversation with Wayne before going back to his drawing, which definitely seemed to be his main focus.

I am quite good with male anatomy (you might have guessed that by now 
) and I can tell you that from 1:51 onwards, that was definitely NOT his ear that he was using!!!
