Another relevant detail. I do not get a sense that J & T really “live” in this apartment. I have the same feeling about H&M. It feels to me like they have their real apartments somewhere else. Properly furnished, decorated, etc.
K & I do not even have bed sheets the ways J & T have in their bedroom. They live a very spartan life with a minimum of every thing, including clothing. Indira hardly has any clothes to change. I am aware that in Russia a lot of people do not have the full closets of people in North America and western Europe. K & I have even less than the average. A lot less. The same can be said of Marica and of Shana.
But if one takes a look at the decoration in apartments such as Ariela and Sebastian and many others, they have a feeling of being homes. This apartment here is feels like just a transit place
