What do the participants earn by having cameras all over their apartment? It seems to me that some of them have quite a lot of money - looking at their designer furniture, clothes, technical equipment and so on. I know that some of them work on webcams as well, but - non the less - do they earn a s…tload of cash, do they have wealthy parents, won a fortune in the lottery, or what ???
I think most of the apartments are owned or rented by VHTV, not the tenants themselves. If you look at the FAQ on the VHTV home page, or explore around a bit, you’ll find the participants share a percentage of the subscription fees, and also get paid additionally based on the number of views of their realms. At least that’s how I understand it, those who know more about the business end of VHTV can correct me if necessary. Some of the participants do in fact have jobs they go to, and some are university students, which is why they aren’t in their apartments 24/7, But I don’t think any of these folks are rich by a long shot, just trying to get by, and this is one way they make ends meet.
You are probably right about your guess that VHTV owns and pays the rent and maybe the apartments are furnished already. But what about the designer clothes and all the top-of-the-list technical equipment? That should cost a pretty penny…
Actually not even close. VHTV has nothing to do with this. Managers are the ones doing all this work, also the ones that are getting the money. Tenants are getting payed by them. There have been a lot of topics about this. The amount of money a good apartment is making is staggering.
For their location, yes, but it wouldn’t equate to western earnings and that’s why we don’t see that many apartments in Western Europe or the US. Without naming names, there was one short-lived apartment in the US from memory, a few in central and Eastern Europe, one in Italy and Spain and that’s about it as I remember, but Jabs can confirm. All were managed by managers or the tenants themselves.
I do remember some post from last autumn, where was mentioned that the top apartments from +3 GMT are making 350-400$ a day and the ones from +7 GMT around 70% more. That is a big amount even for western earnings. This is the reason i have used the word staggering.
Not disbelieving you at all my friend as I have just never seen earnings quoted on these forums myself, so cannot confirm nor deny.
Well I think sometimes it is lower. But the numbers seem possible to me. Wonder about Candy Red?
It will feed her cat.
Never knew she has one
That explains it then as she cannot afford one.
In short, a realm earns close to what a person in the US earns on unemployment. That is not a whole lot especially if you take into account the fact that many realms have multiple people living in them
Here is a little more insight as to how much realms make.
Thanks, @John78 @anon31605929 @jabbath1987 and @NotSeth for providing correct information.
okay - Thanks! That explains a LOT !!!
