ich frage mich, wie lange henry die evelyn noch bei sich wohnen lässt. sie beteiligt sich nicht an der hausarbeit, drängt sich bei besuchern negativ auf und scheint ständig unter drogen/alkohol zu stehen. sex hat sie seit langer zeit keinen mehr gehabt. oder täusche ich mich da?

es ist eine gute frage, wo henry ist. während vica die wohnung versorgt, essen kocht, putzt und aufräumt, begnügt sich evelyn damit, unordnung zu verbreiten und ihre alkohol/drogen(?) exzesse zu genießen. warum henry die evelyn noch nicht rausgeworfen hat, erschließt sich mir nicht. und sex hatte sie auch schon lange nicht mehr….und wenn, dann war er (der sex) grauenhaft anzusehen

das sehe ich auch so. evelyn ist häufig völlig high. kartoffelwasser ist nicht die ursache.

We have all see indications that Evelyn may be struggling a little with her life, and needs a relatively safe place to stay. Perhaps this is exactly what Henry is offering her right now, making sure that someone is looking out for her.

ja, das sehe ich ebenso und ist henry hoch anzurechnen. allerdings finde ich, dass evelyn diese situation ziemlich schamlos ausnutzt, ohne es selbst zu realisieren. drogen und alkohol sind nunmal nicht die besten begleiter.
Well, Henry may have “used the situation quite shamelessly” too in the past. None of these people are exactly saints.
I’d rather root for Evelyn than slag her off like this. She’s probably just making the best of the situation. Let’s just hope she can get her life back on tracks some day.

It’s a big and bold move that Henry is doing a rehab. A withdrawal and subsequent therapy are emotionally and physically very demanding, but they are the cornerstone for a new beginning.
