Community Hero, if you don’t like homosexual acts, that’s your problem. Now, putting “don’t like” on a statement of mine that is true is certainly insanity, anger, or fear of the truth. @Kaya, in my humble opinion, you should say something, about this. Especially in the position of a Community Hero. Thank you.

I’m afraid I can’t forbid them to like or not like a post no matter what it the context. It doesn’t violate the rules, they are not insulting or offending anyone by doing that, we don’t even know why they did it

@Jasper202115, you missed a couple. These guys, jOdN3veEKU and Wilford218141, also gave you a thumbs down.

Kaya, I know I’m probably pissing into a hurricane here, but I’m going to say it anyway. No offense to you. I know you have a job to do and rules to follow.

In my humble opinion, what they do is insulting and offensive, at the very least to the gay and bisexual community in this forum and in your project. It’s similar to calling a gay person the f-word, or a black person the n-word, but because it’s subtle and doesn’t violate the rules they get away with it.

It’s even offensive to me and I’m not even gay. I’ve always been an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community because they always get the short end of the stick, whether it’s social, legal, political, or otherwise.

And they can’t say they down voted his posts because they were night vision pictures because they down voted a text-only post, as well.

So, yeah, when you think about it, what they do is insulting and offensive.

Okay, I will remove downvote option. Now everyone will agree with everything

Dear Kaya, I don’t believe that’s a viable solution. That seems more like a knee jerk reaction. Please don’t do that.

:memo: Note: Too late, you already did it. Please put it back. And it wouldn’t hurt to have the facepalm back, as well.

when i do not like something, why should i not state that???
and why do somebody not just accept that???
a :-1: it is not a

You can state it with words

there are already enough blabbermouths here :hugs:

I totally like my solution - people constantly complain about others “placing too many dislikes”, “placing dislikes on posts that don’t deserve it”, “disliking like saying F-word”, etc. Clearly, neither side can use the feature correctly, so let’s remove it. If you don’t agree of dislike post - just write it in words, if it’s not that big deal - then keep scrolling, it’s as simply as that :face_with_peeking_eye:

Isn’t that a whole point of forums?

Also, removing those emojis is essentially punishing the victims, instead of the perpetrators.

i think not when it is used as chatroom.
we should also stop chatting

I may can shed a little light on why. As my self has disliked or liked a post not for the content but more so for the individuals in said post, if I dislike an individual in post I may give a thumbs down and the same if I like said individual I’ll give a thumbs up or other positive emote

also can’t removing and option lead to censoring peoples opinons and feelings as well ? Not arguing just a humble question

I agree with your solution. If one doesn’t like or disagrees and one cares that much then put it down in words. A “thumbs down” is far to easy.

I totally agree with what you wrote.

surely if you feel so strongly that you have to leave an opinion instead of scrolling to the next post then why not use the reply option , ???, ,
