Ah now Iām on safer ground, they canāt use screws because itās rented accommodation and if you put screws in the wall, or nails, it diminishes the value of the property and you also stand to lose your deposit. Tape and sticky tack are acceptable as long as the tape is low tack and doesnāt lease greasy residue. Hot glue is also alright because it just peels off most surfaces that arenāt porous. Also the cams need to be easily removable in case of sudden relocation, which screwing into walls would not facilitate. supply chain problems may be giving rise to difficulties obtaining adequately tacky tape and or sticky stuff to keep the cams in an upright and optimal position. Or, excessive heat in the apartment is causing the glue/tape to become super soft and warp leading to the drooping of cams. Or Gremlins are real.

VH is moving away from tripod cams because so many get knocked and theyāre not very stable. They also take up valuable space in rooms. the wall cams are fine unless on certain surfaces. True, the tripod cams donāt wilt, but they get in the way. there was a big discussion about all this a while back in the general discussion or feedback main forums.

They can still be floor standing and have a smaller foot spread and the pole can be fixed back to the wall to give stability, but I understand what your saying.
