Germany makes mask mandate permanent every fall/winter

German lawmakers have decided recently to make mask mandate permanent during every flu season in fall/winter (October-April).
I think this is a good step and other countries should follow Germany’s lead, not only to protect people from Covid but also flu.
What do you think?

What you write is totally wrong…

You should read the article properly:

FFP2 masks nationwide mandatory on long-distance trips, airplanes.
However, some measures should also apply nationwide, especially with regard to local public transport and visiting hospitals and care facilities for older people.

Yes and it also says that it gives power to the states to implement mask mandate for remaining indoor public places.

The federal states, in turn, do it anyway they want. No matter what Lauterbach suggests. It always depends on how the infection situation develops and whether the healthcare system is not overloaded.

Lauterbach is a big idiot. Nobody longer cares what that clown says

Are mask mandates enf___ed on trains where you live ?

Masks have been compulsory on trains, public transport and planes all year round.

As I always go by car when longer travel I have no idea about situation in public transport

Do they require masks on private cars if you are traveling with someone who is not a family member? I think some countries had this requirement last year.

No idea. I do not wear a mask in my own car. And nobody ever complained. Did not see any checks too.

If Putin continues like this, there will soon be an ABC mask requirement in Germany…

oh my goodness, where did you get this nonsense from?
Of course there is always someone who demands that something be closed, but you can’t take that seriously…

It wouldn’t really be a shame about the Oktoberfest. With ■■■■ prices at 13.80 euros, people should consider investing in gas and electricity anyway.

My bad. Wrong info, wrong country. Should have paid more attention to the article

Yet, it is jam packed every single year

Only just read this, wow that is expensive, our ■■■■ in the UK is less than half that. Is that for a litre or half a barrel
