Couple of questions if I may? Russia is on our bucket list, especially St. Petersburg
When I hear people speaking, especially a male it sounds very aggressive and loud - is this just how Russians speak in general? Often sounds very angry
I notice that nearly everybody takes off their outdoor shoes when visiting and very few people walk barefoot indoors, even for a short distance between rooms. Is this normal etiquette in Russia?
I understand that most people live in apartments - are they very well soundproofed? Some of the ladies can get VERY loud! (just love a loud girl when being well fucked!) Their electricity bills must be high as people are naked for most of the time and I understand Russian winters are pretty cold!
Final question - why do people use short brushes to sweep the floor as opposed to full length brooms?
All the rules, bro, right now I’ll tell you everything.
Russians are people like everyone else. Someone speaks loudly, someone quietly. Those who speak loudly are heard better, they create a more impression. It also depends on upbringing and education. And naturally, the state of a_____lic i__________n contributes to the coarsening of speech. In general, everything is like everywhere else. It is unlikely that you will meet an elderly professor of philosophy who will speak rudely. But among young and _____ people, this is normal in any country.
Yes, in Russian houses and apartments it is not customary to wear street shoes. This is completely normal - there can be a huge amount of dirt, bacteria and viruses on your outdoor shoes, which you will spread throughout the apartment. I think if you come to St. Petersburg or Moscow from October to April, and walk a little, as well as take public transport (which I strongly do not recommend you do, just for the sake of experiment), you will appreciate this tradition.
And yes, in decent houses you will definitely be offered slippers to walk around the apartment.
There are two questions, I will answer both.
Some apartments are soundproofed, some are not. Our franchisees try to look for soundproofed apartments. Noise is often the cause of travel.
You will probably be surprised, but Russia is one of the very few countries in which heating of apartments is not individual, but centralized. Within the framework of this forum, I will not undertake to explain to you how it is, in all the subtleties, but in general - WATER is heated in huge boilers and distributed through pipes throughout the city (in large cities - in the district). Yes, this heating costs some money, but this money does not depend on how warm or cold it is in the apartment. In the same way, hot water is supplied to the apartment, with which people wash. The cost of one cubic meter (approximately 27 cubic feet) of hot (50 degrees Celsius, 122 Fahrenheit) water is 200 rubles ($ 3).
The short brush is called a broom and is a traditional cleaning tool. They are strong and comfortable, and for young people it is okay to bend a little while cleaning. And the Chinese brushes that are sold in stores look like they are made of paper and can crumble in your hands.
Im not russian but watch often shows with a speaker, like Slavik Bazar! Indeed, it seems they speak like u said…
Here , in Belgium, especially in appartment, we take shoes off and in in a house, never wear shoes in s___ping room or bathroom…
I saw the broom too, looks traditional. Some have a vacum cleaner…
