Yes, that’s a good point. I’ve been thinking so myself. I watch this apartment quite a lot, and it even seems the cats are a little unsure around the rats. Here’s a short example.
Well, when one thinks about it, these are domestic cats, who are regularly being fed well. So no wonder the hunting instinct is not on par with outdoor cats.

Well, the rat got four months more to live than predicted, which is quite a long time, considering the average lifespan of pet rats are 2-4 years. All the time you took good care of it.
