I hope this will work out well. Some of the othe inhabitants of this apartment seems to be a little less enthusiastic. One is even hiding underneath the couch

Эту собачку зовут Профессор Грюм, его выбросили хозяева у Уинстона на работе(она работает в Вет. Клинике) он старый пекинес слепой и ворчливый, так как он слепой он не может оставаться один, поэтому Уинстон забрала его, ей стало жаль

You two are good people giving a home to lost animals. I’m sure you will work this out. After all you have plenty of experience dealing with it. Gice it some time and Professor Grum and the cats will probably be friends too 
We have an expression in Norway almost similar to the one one you have. Translated to English it goes something like this: “Where there is room in the heart, there is room in the home.”

While Gella is braiding her hair, the cats still keep a certain distance to Professor Grum. But at least they seem a little more relaxed now
