over here in the Netherlands they say that Jos Verstappen ( Max his dad) was behind the mailbomb to get Horner out of his job, the two of them had a nasty conversation last weekend and after that Jos came with a statement about the issue .
when Horner is no longer part of Red Bull, the contract of Max can be easily cancelled… so he could go to Mercedes…
Is he stupid? Why should he do that? Only when he can take GP and Newey with him to Mercedes.

Mercedes could not offer him a seat in F1 Toro Rosso could… that is the only reason he is at Red Bull

He has a contract untill 2028, so no big deal for him as long as they provide him the best car

Well I read everything and to me that sounds like typical nepotism among Arabs:
Ben Sulayem is from that region, the Race was the Saudi GP, the car which is involved is an Aston Martin (Alonso) where the main Sponsor is from Saudi Arabia (Aramco) and the other guy ivolved is from that Region too (Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa)

as per ussuall at the start of an f1 season a list of dramas , takeovers -withdrawals- driver swap fantasies- dodgy leadership- and tracks in or out . sounds very familiar to me
