I think there seriously is a slight chance for the case that the dutch national anthem actually can be played after every race. But it is also a little bit unlikely.

Even though I’m Dutch and I thoroughly enjoyed last season…
I hope there will be a lot more tension this year for first place, that was the only thing wrong with it last year, the battles for place 2 and lower were a lot of fun

We can not do anything about the domination of one driver or one team. That goes for everyone of us. But we can look for signs of tension and excitement to create some fun. Always plenty of options for that. Depends what you are focusing on. :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

There has always been dominance in F1, since the first season in 1950 there has only been 34 different driver’s championship winners

Absolutely nothing new about it and nothing to do about it either. The sports basic nature has always been like that. Nothing new about that aspect at all. :kissing_heart: :slightly_smiling_face:

The latest similar dominance before Verstappen and Hamilton was undoubtedly Michael Schumacher. He was so dominant that the rule makers specifically went in and changed the basic rules of the sport so that he would not be so dominant as he literally was. So we have experienced a similar thing before compared to now. :slightly_smiling_face:

to think that Schumacher could have had 1 more title win as well if it wasn’t for him being (unfairly in my opinion) disqualified from the championship in 1997

They always change rules to try stop the dominance, they did it when Vettel won 4 in a row, they did it more recently with Lewis and now they are doing it again with Max

That was in my very humble opinion a very unfair decision made in 1997. The FIA said something about that it was done as a symbolic act to give Michael “a simple slap above his fingers.” I did not agree with that decision at all. Enough said about that. :slightly_smiling_face:

FP1
Bahrein

p1-p4 on softs

finally ,seems to get longer between each season or maybe im just getting older and more impatient

That is a very correct observation. In the very beginning of the very early 2000`s for example there were only 17 races. Now it is increased to 24. :slightly_smiling_face:

Not the RB we was expecting in 1st

Max was only driving on the yellow tires and did not really try a fast lap
his long runs looked very fast

so maybe in FP2 we will see the real potenial?

i got a feeling we wont get a true pertspective of teams ability untill qualifying i think there all holding back a little something , personally i think it will be red bull domination for at least next 2 years

It’s going to look a lot like that, they didn’t even try to set a real fast lap during the test days, so I think they don’t want to make the competition wiser than necessary, we’ll see tomorrow afternoon in qualifying

I have no idea :joy::joy: not been able to watch anything so far, going to miss Saturday’s race and just looking at the race calendar probably only going to be able to watch the Saudi one next week then the next will be the Chinese one

I didn`t get to watch FP1 but hopefully I will get to watch FP2.
