trust a dutchman to fuk up the start of the dutch grand prix ![]()
his contract is signed , so now he can go I-racing for the rest of the day ![]()
Did they end up fourth and fifth again? Where have I seen that from before do you think? ![]()
Lewis could have been(deserved to be) on the podium, he was way faster than Charles on fresher tyres, but the team did nothing for five laps.
Mercedes told George to move over for Kimi and he did ( he did not agree, but he did)
I understand why Mercedes do that actually. Despite the disagreement I understand in the current situation. I would have done the same if I were in charge. ![]()
That is one of the reasons that Max would never fit in the Mercedes team..
he would never let his teammate pass
Can someone explain to me again why we said goodbye to Zandvoort this WEEKEND? Have they simply been taken off the racing calendar? Are the Dutch broke, much like Hockenheim was back then? Somehow, I’m not really up to speed on this anymore.
Financial sustainability concerns
Why Zandvoort has been taken off the F1 calendar
[The Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort has been removed from the Formula 1 calendar due to financial sustainability concerns . The circuit, which has been privately owned and operated, cannot rely on government support to absorb the financial risk associated with staging the event. The organisers, Robert van Overdijk, confirmed that the decision was made after considering the opportunities and risks involved in continuing to host the event. The cost of staging a modern Formula 1 Grand Prix has been rising, and the event had become heavily dependent on maintaining exceptionally strong attendance and commercial performance. Despite its popularity and the support of Max Verstappen’s orange army, the organisers opted to leave while the event was still commercially strong.]
There’s more to it than that…
In 2016, Prince Bernhard (the King’s brother) bought the Zandvoort circuit to bring F1 back there—and he succeeded.
However, in recent years, he has come under fire for his predatory landlord practices in Amsterdam.
He sold his interests in Zandvoort in July 2026, so the two matters are not mutually exclusive.
The state has never contributed financially to F1 in the Netherlands.
there always dirty laundry, when it comes to these venues ,so nothing surprises me , just a shame as F1 needs a dutch F1 there fans are prob the best on the calendar
This race weekend, there were reportedly 330,000 spectators there. I think that’s incredible. And yet it’s still not enough to keep such an interesting circuit on the calendar. Of course, the maintenance costs and the entry fee – which is what gets F1 to come in the first place – cost a great deal of money. It’s just a shame that circuits like this, which aren’t backed by a sheikh, are no longer on the calendar. I don’t think it’ll be any different at Spa.
