This is where F1 loses credibility for me, cars 1,4,16 & 44 are chosen at random for checks, 50% of the selection fail scrutiny checks but then no other car is checked, so Lewis and Charles rightly get punished but it completely plausible that others in the race have gotten away with it because of not being checked

They didn’t check all of them? But I am sure Ferrari or MAMG would have protested to get the others checked as well (RB and McLaren)
Wasn’t MAMG the ones who wanted that rule to be changed and now they are among the first ones falling over it 
Not sure if there will also a performance gain when this part of the car is thinner?

No they choose a random amount of cars for scrutiny after every race and that’s it, the others are automatically cleared and are allowed to be dismantled

they can avoid that by setting up the car higher, but then the ground effect is less, so the car is slower, that’s the reason this rule is there

Yes I just read that they drove with too soft suspension and less ground clearance which makes the car faster and more pleasant to drive. So they clearly gained an advantage for which they were rightfully disqualified.
Yes I heard they say it’s impossible to check all of them.
At least It’s shows that McLaren’s pace was genuine and Ferraris and Mercedes wasn’t

It could be although it will still be warmer then most places in Europe
I read about maybe only 7 degrees.
Yes It could be as it’s a night race, it’s normally around 20 degrees in the day
