Andrea Stella also did see that RB (Max) did very well in the long runs and specific the long straights, so he tries to get the rules changed before the season starts

I agree with him about the starting procedure, the last cars on the grid also need 10 seconds to get their turbos at the right speed, the rest he wants should be reviewed after a few races, certain not before the season starts

True, he made quite a few good points, especially when it comes to the end of the straights, and the car in front can’t go any faster, and then gets a rear end shunt.

Hopefully if the FIA have any sense, it might be better from lights out. All the get away power is supplied by the petrol engine only.

Drivers voice frustration over complex regulations

Several top drivers, including Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, have criticised the 2026 regulations for prioritising energy management over pure racing. Hamilton likened his Ferrari SF-26 to a GP2 car, while Lando Norris compared his McLaren to F2 machinery, expressing doubts that fans would understand the new driving style. The overhaul introduces active aero modes and new terminology, with former driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen proposing ideas to simplify the unpopular rules.

Looks like some drivers are taking a dislike to the new regs.

I would’ve chosen a different track, because Spa is one if not the fastest track on the calendar, especially that uphill sweeping curve, they take at full throttle, based on last years cars.

yes.. Monaco out, and both Spa and Barcelona in

it is all about the money…

That Monaco debate will rumble on forever, as you say it’s not only money, but they were holding GP’s if you can call them that long before F1 was even thought of.

It’s a pity they can’t make the Nurburgring (spelt wrong) in Germany safe for F1 racing, because that iconic circuit is where Nikki Lauda crashed, nearly lost half his face, but his main rival James Hunt saved him.

My guess is that Monaco will not be ruled out. Because of the nostalgia connected to it and the ancient history of Monaco connected to motorsport. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

For sure not..
But only thing interesting there is qualifying

the race sucks big time every year

The track is undoubtedly extremely tight and twisty. Extremely tight and short distance to the actual run off areas of the track. Marginal errors is costly. Makes the racing potentially extremely less exciting to watch. :fire:

That’s why I say, that track gives the pit crew a test of their efficiency at getting the tyres off & on and back on track.
