Max is certainly causing McLaren a few headaches now, especially with the coming together during the sprint race, and then Norris trying his hardest to catch Max, but Charles wasn’t playing ball and had his own race with Max.
And Piastri got stuck in the lower half of the top 10. It’s all starting to fall apart for McLaren, I think Mexico suits the Red Bulls as well.
I think McLaren were too sure of themselves and stopped development of the car too early. Now on some tracks Ferrari and Mercedes come close and RedBull with Max are in front of them again.
What’s new, where Yuki is concerned, and the fact a rookie was able to beat him as well.
A nice mix in the top 5 for FP1 though.
I don’t think we need to worry about Yuki’s future at Red Bull anymore. I can’t imagine him still being with this team in the 2026 season.
The question will be whether he even gets a cockpit next season.
And at McLaren, I also think they celebrated the season too early. I think they were too confident and only had one question: which driver will be world champion, Oscar or Lando? And now they’re getting nervous and don’t know which driver to support more.
I think it’s going to be an exciting season finale.
I think you’re right, he was great in their sister team. But getting promoted as they say to the main team, he’s struggled with the car, and hence holding up Red Bull for the constructors.
But the quali will be interesting, with Max on the top of the timing sheets.
depends all on the last races.. if he can do what checo did in Abu Dahbi 2021 his seat will be secure
I don’t know if they will transfer Yuki back to Red Bull Racing.
I can’t really imagine it.
I’m more afraid that his time at Red Bull as a whole will come to an end. And then it will be interesting to see if he can get a seat anywhere at all.
Because his points haul in this car, even though everything is tuned to Max, has been very low so far.
I think he has only contributed 28 of the total 331 points.

It will probably also depend on which driver is currently on the market or is yet to come.
To be honest, I can’t imagine them going into the season with a complete rookie again. At least not in the so-called first team.
They will continue to use Red Bull Racing as a talent factory. And then see who is making good progress there.
Exactly, when it comes to the team points, it’s been a one horse race. And that’s been Max.
Don’t think they’re a lot of empty seats left now for 2026, Audi have got Bottas with his 5 grid penalty and Perez.
Yuki could become 3rd driver at Aston Martin because of his Honda interests
FP3
Alonso problem with the front suspension, so no real fast lap
Max had fuel for 3 fast laps, so not repesentative time
