Do you think Leclerc is not a champions type? Or that he doesn’t get the material from Ferrari to become champion? Or maybe both? :slightly_smiling_face:

I think both.

Max confirms he’s staying at Red Bull next season

He can look who will have the best car next season and then decide where to drive in 2027

Will that be a good thing or a bad thing. I know we’ll have the new regs, so at least we’ll be starting with a level playing field as they say.

As Jabbs put above, it will be just to see who has the best car, he has a current contract with Red Bull, if he went elsewhere and it was the wrong team then he is stuck but if he waits then he will be missing out possibly for a season

I think he could be a world champion, but 1st he needs to outpace the RB’s and McLarens, so he can start being the dominate one on track.

We will be curious to see what kind of car they will bring out in the next one. And both Ferrari drivers should be able to perform with it. And not just one.

I can’t remember if the overall appearance of the cars will change, unlike the last one with what I call mudguards on the front wheels, I know DRS will be banned from next year, but that’s about all I know.

but don’t be surprised that he will stay at Red Bull untill 2028 and then retires from F1 to put more time in his own racing teams

I think he definitely retires from F1 end of 2028, still gives him 3 seasons, next season to see who’s the fastest then 2 seasons in that car

FP1 Hungary

Not a bad start, I know it’s only FP1. Pity that Max had only just scraped into the top 10. I thought he would at least be in the top 5.

As I don’t believe that this years RB is up to the job, of keeping Max in the No.1. car.

I’m edging my bets on Piastri where the McLaren drivers are concerned, as he was the bravest at Spa in the rain.

you must consider in this that Red Bull always has low engine settings on friday, so the real pace is tomorrow

alltough McLaren was very fast, nearly the pole position time from last year allready

? they waited at Spa for the rain to stop

True, but the track still had massive amounts of standing water.

Yes , and they waited long enough to race in dry settings, so they should have allowed to change the cars fromrainsettings to low downforce settings during the red flag

Alonso is in the car, looks like he is going to try and see how it goes

he has back problems

That’s good, I know it’s no ideal with a back injury. But if he wants to race, even against medical advice, then he needs to do an FP session as well as the Quali.

So this is best chance to see if his back can last the distance.
