I think Mercedes and RedBull were the most succesful ones the last 20 years.

The last driver competition at RedBull was when Seb Vettel and Marc Weber were in the same team. And in this battle, the team and the car got better and better. Until they became world champions. Then Max came along and became champion again. But only because they only developed the car on one nose. Now they are in the Max trap, that only he can keep up with the car to some extent.
Maybe it would be even better for RedBull if Max left the company.
Then they can start a new era with new and eager drivers, Hadjar or Lawson?

Certainly the extensions with Kimi and George have pirority for Wolff. But what else can he say? After all, both still have current contracts and he doesn’t want to fuel any bad moods. And he also knows that Verstappen doesn’t have many opportunities to join a new team at the moment, because who knows who will be building a competitive car next season. And that’s the only place he’ll want to go. So a Verstappen deal with Mercedes for 2027 could be interesting. I think we will see and hear a lot more speculation.
