I think they overtook after the finishline, not allowed, because it was under SC
Well that could cause a few issues then especially when Max did it in the live race, intentionally or not he overtook George

So that will be a grid penalty for the next race for Lando?
or for Oscar giving him no space? i just don’t know, i see it as a dumb action from Lando and he is punished enough
My opinion is Oscar took normal line and Lando went looking for a gap that didn’t exist, Lando hit the back of Oscar so I think it’s definitely Lando’s fault although you never know with the stewards as they do make strange decisions sometimes

What have Red Bull got to complain about? It can’t be because they think George brake checked them surely
they must have looked at the on boards and telemetry of both cars before filing a complaint, we’ll hear about it
Red Bull warned the FIA in advance about ‘games’
Horner now states that one of the two protests is indeed about that incident: “There are currently two protests with the stewards. The first protest is because George braked heavily. The second protest is clearly related to the distance that was left to the safety car. This is certainly not personal against George, but the regulations are very clear about what you can and cannot do behind the safety car. It was inevitable that games would be played”, Horner indicates Mercedes’ behavior. “We raised this with the race director in advance, so they were aware of it.” The Red Bull team boss seems to indicate ‘games’ to give Verstappen another penalty and ideally an extra penalty point for competitors, so that he would be suspended. “But Max drove extremely clean all weekend”, concludes the British team boss.
Just silly games again, just makes the sport look silly, not for the first time nearly 3 hours after the race is finished we still don’t have a final result, finally have a decent race and this puts a shadow over it and everything will be forgotten about the actual racing

The accident is very reminiscent of the one involving Hamilton/Button, both of them at McLaren back then and it happened in a similar way. Hamilton wanted to overtake where there was no space.

So all in all nothing changed in the final standings, only Lando got a 5 sec penalty for causing a collision, which was added to his racetime

Around 6 hours after the race finished they declared the final race result, absolutely pathetic from Red Bull claiming unsportsmanlike conduct because George reported a factual event over the radio
