it was not unsafe IMO
He had full control over the car there

As long as there is no immediate danger for human being unsafety, there is no instant danger in the first place. In my opinion. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

the only thing dangerous in Monaco is the track and it should be banned from the racing calender as long as they don’t have a good circuit with all the things that make racing worth watching

There was always going to be a lot of interest in Hamilton’s first few days on the job. And after months of waiting fans were finally shown what they wanted to see last month as the first few photos of Hamilton at Maranello were published

Then came the first image of him wearing a Ferrari race suit before he took to the team’s Fiorano track for his maiden test. After his first 30 laps in Scuderia machinery, he went over to the hundreds of Italian fans who had gathered outside the walls of the circuit to wave and show his appreciation for their enthusiasm.

Hamilton’s exploits have made plenty of headlines and proven a huge hit on social media. However the PR stunts should not of have been the priority after what we have heard about the challenger Ferrari are building for Hamilton and Charles Leclerc to race this year.
"It could be argued that Lewis Hamilton wants a record-breaking eighth world championship before he retires, and moved to Ferrari because he reckons that this year they will have the fastest car, "He may have a point. Early indications on the rumour mill suggest it’s very fast indeed.
"However, if he’s so keen on that eighth world title, you’d imagine that he’d have arrived at the factory on day one, keen to know the car’s secrets and how he can extract the most from its vast arsenal of racing trickery.

"Instead, he turned up in an SUV in a suit and tie and posed for pictures before talking to fans, under the watchful eye of a video drone which luckily was there to capture the moment. Next, there was a tour of the team’s headquarters where, in slow motion, we saw the fawning engineers and the applause.
"And then, eventually, he went on to the track, in an F1 Ferrari that’s three years old I’ve heard his new house isn’t anywhere near the team’s HQ. It’s in Milan, and he doesn’t even commute in a Ferrari road car, choosing instead to use Fiat’s helicopter. It made me wonder. What is Lewis now? A driver? Or a superstar?
"What I do know is he’ll have his work cut out to beat his team-mate Charles Leclerc, who speaks Italian, knows the team, doesn’t spend quite so long posing for pictures and, thanks to a single-lap shootout, is regarded by many to be the fastest driver of them all.

“Maybe Lewis is aware of this. And maybe he signed for Ferrari for a different reason - he knows he’s past his prime now and he didn’t want to retire having never driven for motorsport’s crown jewel. Either way, I wish him well.”

if you enjoyed reading this , well i can copy n past more :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

but if you think its a load of bollox , dont blame me , blame Jeremy Clarkson ( writing for the Daily Mirror tabloid) because there his bloody words *not mine !!!

As much as I do agree with you in that, the track will basically never be removed from the calendar because of the history, culture and mystique related to motorsport in relation to the Monaco track. Just a truthful fact.

Above all. As long as the rich are allowed to show off their yachts there, this race track will remain on the calendar.
Even if Monaco doesn’t have the most spectacular race of the season. A lot of money is very likely to be spent there in one weekend.

Another reason why the Monaco track never will be removed from the calendar. :100:

He keeps that up, Ferrari won’t keep him for long.
It’s understandable at practice sessions as he needs to learn the car, but come the actual race, then it could be bye bye Hamilton.

and for Antonio Giovinazzi and Dino Beganovic, who should drive the modified SF23 tomorrow, i wonder if they have parts enough over there to bting the car back to the same specs as Hamilton drove it

if they was smart then maybe but it depends if its budget related or not, why spend money now if it comes from the capped budget

well next week they will drive last years car, the SF24 in a Pirelli tire test in Barceloa also, so he can make some more km

I reckon they could be working through the night, to get the spare parts needed and to rebuild the car.

i hope so for Giovinazzi and Beganovic
but it would only make sense if they have the same specs as the car used yesterday
