from what i found the trajectory is from west to east
maybe someone is awake and gets to see him

these are things that you happen to notice when you spend the whole night because of the superbowl 
At 1m, the thing was tiny compared to the asteroid 10 years ago over Chelyabinsk… it was probably almost 20m in size
