I think what is more subjective, (rather than whether or not being driven by money is a negative) is what is being done purely for viewership. Like you insinuate that this guy is only being brought in for views but it also seems that she likes him too so it seems a bit pessimistic and a little rude to invalidate her relationships
Yes, she is VERY good at it. I applaud her at this ability.
