The thing is in the request, there has to be a “time-shot” (timeline-link), and the requesting viewer only has 24 hrs to produce that. For the MOs you are right, they have 48 hrs to process the request.
I see what you’re saying, and obviously his request was months past the 48 hour limit. But theoretically, would it be possible for someone to see a picture or a video in the forum, and use the date and timestamp off of that to make an archive request, as long as it wasn’t more than 48 hours old?
that depends on the motivation of the MO. Some are different than others, like some only mention the name of the participant and don’t give a 
if others can find the named guests in archive, and just call them guests, even if they have been around for a long while.
Theoretically it would be possible. The thing is, would the person who requests be able to name a time-frame, or would the MO have to set that at gusto??
