FIFA World Cup 2026 🇨🇦 🇲🇽 🇺🇸

Well for Spain it must have felt as Cape Verde played with 3 keepers and 15 field players :joy::joy:

this is going to hurt me to vote on this one ,but going with what i really believe

Spain were clearly the better side, but the draw was mostly down to an outstanding defensive and goalkeeping performance from Cape Verde, plus some wasteful finishing from the Spanish attack. Yamal probably also came on a bit too late to really change the game…

What’s going on? What’s happened?

look what i voted for in england croatia match lol

I’d seen that and wondered what had happened. Why do you think England will lose? You’ve got Kane. He’s a sure bet in so many ways. I see him every week in the Bundesliga with Bayern…
And I’m sure there are some of other excellent players in the team, though I don’t know much about England. All I know is that Tuchel is the manager.

thats why !! :winking_face_with_tongue:
but seriously England never do well in the first game of a tournament they always play defensive and will end up chasing the game , yes they have won some , but i think this time round our defence will be our downfall

We’ll see. As Troy said, the first match doesn’t mean anything yet. It would be a dream come true for me if Germany were to knock Spain out and face England in the final. :fire:

that would be epic :winking_face_with_tongue:

By the way — in typical German fashion — yesterday’s match is drawing criticism here. The reason? Too few goals .
The argument is that, against an opponent so technically inferior, they really should have managed more.

However, I think the Spanish team’s match just now showed that even in the lower reaches of the world rankings, there are opponents who simply refuse to give up.

It’s always unbelievable when substitutes score a goal shortly after coming on…

Substitution, Belgium - Lukaku ‘66

Goal, Belgium - Lukaku ‘66

Belgium vs Egypt 1:1

Nee geen doelpunt van Lukaku , was owngoal van Egyptenaar

…but in my opinion, that goal wouldn’t have been scored without Lukaku. And in my defence: at the time I posted, FIFA had credited the goal to Lukaku on their website. They’ve since changed that. Thanks anyway for the correction. You’re absolutely right. :slightly_smiling_face:
