I completely understand why some England fans might have concerns about this referee appointment. But as long as there is no solid evidence of bias, Iβd much rather have an internationally respected and experienced FIFA referee in charge than a less experienced one chosen just to avoid any perceived connection to Messi or Argentina.
i totally agree .But without social media none of this would be an issue ,now every single decision is now scutinised by millions of viewers . i would go as far as to say social media as corrupted the game just as much as a few top of the table football chiefs. personally i have nothing against Messi and the team . For me this is just good old banter from and to opposing teams supporters.at the End of the day the best team will win most times! barring a few capricious decisions by the officiating team ,but you get them in every sport at every level some time or other , respect and good luck to both sides tomorrow
i just hope that no matter the result ,that the hooligan element dont spoil such a great occasion!
No matter who loses on the pitch, social media is always the winner. ![]()
i most admit i dont care who wins tonight but if i had to choose i would pick spain

I do not have any preference. May the better one win here.
I am happy with everything. As long as Vargentina loses tomorrow.
Argentina will win, and Messi will score at least one goal. ![]()
Nope. And he can score a goal. His own goal.
