FIFA World Cup 2026 🇨🇦 🇲🇽 🇺🇸

Mate, Pelé has been turning over in his grave for a long time now. Brazil hasn’t had a real team for years; we’re looking at six World Cups without a title. Argentina has been the boss of South America for ages. Look at Colombia—they finished ahead in the qualifiers; so did Ecuador. Brazil has long since ceased to be a shadow of its former self; it’s even worse off than Germany—after all, Germany won in 2014 and even handed us that 7-1 thrashing. I have a Brazilian mother; I know how things are here. The last time Pelé turned in his grave was when we lost 7-1. He’s been tossing and turning ever since.

As you mentioned Colombia and nobody really talks about them, i do see them as the dark horse of this tournament, a team who plays good old style proper quality football. Very good to watch

That match between England and Mexico will help me gauge how far Norway might go; I really want to watch it. But one thing is certain: if Norway gets past England or Mexico, they have a slim chance of beating Argentina—and an even slimmer chance against Egypt. As for Colombia—who I think will beat Switzerland—they are Argentina’s “child”; they’ve been losing to Argentina for years and decades. Argentina is Colombia’s “mother,” and Colombia is Argentina’s “child.”

What is with Kiribati?

I’m not saying the Argentina vs. Colombia match will be easy for Argentina—far from it—but Argentina has become so accustomed to beating Colombia that this historical trend will likely prevail, just as it always has. It will be a tight, scrappy affair, ending in a narrow victory for Argentina.

Yes, indeed, and it won’t be an easy victory for Argentina; however, there is their historical dominance, the fact that both teams know each other very well, and the fact that Argentina has been accustomed to beating Colombia for decades.

Well, as i don’t like what Argentina is playing ( at all ), i hope that Colombia will beat them this time :upside_down_face:

Anything is possible—even Switzerland beating Colombia. It won’t be an easy match for Colombia, and Switzerland has a real chance of winning.

More possession doesn’t always mean a better chance of winning. I was rooting for Mexico, but oh well. At least we got to watch a great game.
