Dry ice burns are nasty. we did a show where a bunch of dancers ran barefoot past the place where the dry ice had been handled, and one girl got fragments of ice stuck to the bottom of her foot. she tried not to scream during the performance but the look of pain on her face you’d think someone cut off her feet with a plastic spork.

Just remembered a related thing, dry ice was invented for the food canning industry. It’s how they keep the factory cold enough that bacteria don’t grow.
It’s also used in a process called dry ice blasting where pellets of ice are shot at surfaces to decontaminate them. So anywhere that food has touched. It’s mad that they’re still using it over a hundred years after it was first used.
