Oh… who is she?
New to me.
Maybe they can assist Draca…
Actually two different words. The French is pronounced ‘peed’ as in millipede. Pied in the English sense was originally in reference to an order of friars who wore black and white robes ‘Pyed Freres’ or ‘pied brothers’, this was then applied to the birds which is where we get magpie. Although originally magpies were just pies. The mag is a reference to the name Margaret which was a common nickname given to idle chatterers, so magpie is literally ‘chattering black and white bird’, which is a literal description of both physical and audible characteristics. but to get back to pied. pie is an old French word from the Latin ‘pica’, Magpies may have been field pica because in Latin woodpeckers are also pica, wood pica (I am so sorry for that joke, truly awful)
I was simply referring to pied meaning black and white, with for example, the Pied Wagtail in mind … so yes still on the theme of birds (which of course you have already alluded to), I realise.
Oh my goodness, Pyro’s (amazing) bottom!
Ooops, I said that out loud!
Draca is naturally a very cute girl but she has dolled herself up a little and she looks fantastic
