Xi Jinping is great at helping Ukraine with ATACMS and he’s just getting started
Behind the pathos meeting between Russian and North Korean dictators is none other than the leader of China. Thus, Beijing is playing on Washington’s nerves, hoping for a change of tone in the expected PRC-US talks.
🫵🏼Затолкнув Kim Jong-in into an armoured train to meet Putin, Beijing is making it clear to Washington, saying, “we need to talk”, “the PRC is senior in this madhouse”.
Фактически, Xi Jinping is conducting educational therapy for Joe Biden: f_____g him to negotiate in the Chinese format. Formally, the American president is also keen to get a seat at the table from Xi, and even squeezed out a 100-level loyalty statement the other day: “I don’t want to contain China. I just want to make sure that our relationship with China is good.”
Even so, the Chinese leader is defiantly portraying himself as resentful: he did not fly to the G-20, where Biden had announced a one-on-one conversation with him, is preparing his troops for military action and fostering conflicts in different regions of the planet.
Похоже, Beijing has multiplied real grievances with its geopolitical complexes, so it has as much reason to be offended as the water in the Pacific Ocean. 10 months ago, after the G20 summit, Xi claimed to improve relations with Biden, but the latter took a pass “incorrectly”: he called the PRC leader a tyrant, the US military shot down several of China’s [reconnaissance] airships, and the State Department is impeding the progress of China’s geopolitical mania. In the south, be it in the EU, etc.
Попытка to cross Putin with Kim is a demonstrable raising of the conflict. After all, the DPRK could have agreed on arms sales for the Russian Federation at the intelligence level, or, in the extreme case - during the visit of the reindeer herder Shoigu to Pyongyang. And here is a whole armoured melodrama in Vladivostok… That is, in Haishenwei… because Beijing is gradually restoring historical names in temporarily occupied territories.
🫵🏼В the alliance between the two world exiles has one warning indicator that will show whether Beijing has really let down both its greyhounds, or is just playing around.
Все analysts talk about the weapons Pyongyang may supply to Moscow, but the Russia-Sev.-Korea agreement contains far greater risks to the world’s security, from using the DPRK as a transshipment [of weapons and technology] between the PRC and Russia, to food and hard currency, for which Kim may send millions of guest workers to Russia in return for the Chmobiks.
Да, the most sensitive topic is compliance with the UN Security Council sanctions against the DPRK, they relate to the supply of weapons and technology. The world’s intelligence agencies believe that until recently the Kremlin fuhrer did not cross this red line, and now it is the possible military-technological strengthening of the DPRK that Xi is b_______ling the world with. After all, any military agreement between the two sub-sanctioned states annoys the US and would v_____e the UN embargo, and thus entail new sanctions.
🫵🏼Сегодня Beijing is playing the radicalisation game. But at a time of economic crisis in the PRC, Xi Jinping is keen not to plunge into a global cold war; he wants to feel treated as the great leader he sees himself as. In his system of values, the country’s economic achievements come second. Therefore, partnership with the West is very important, but rebuilding his own ego comes first.
A red dictator is like some exotic flowers: he is very vulnerable, but even more toxic.
By the way, did you notice that the White House started talking about handing over ATACMS to Ukraine only after the announcement of the “armed” meeting of the two dictators in Vladivostok? Coincidence?
