According to eyewitnesses, the explosion was heard near the Zhivopisnoye Bridge on Marshal Zhukov Avenue.

Some of them claim that a UAV fell near the Moscow River.

Eyewitnesses post footage of smoke near the Crimean bridge.

According to preliminary data, shortly before that there was an attempted attack on the Crimean bridge. It is reported about the work of air defence systems.

According to official data, the movement of motor transport is closed.

:boom: Crimea is also noisy: drones are circling over the Kerch Bridge

According to local blogs, the traffic on the Crimean bridge is temporarily blocked.

Kerch chat rooms write about loud explosions (Telegram: Contact @Pravda_Gerashchenko) and traces of air defence in the sky above the crossing.

Judging by the pictures from the scene, the “pe-ve-o” failed😂

The first videos of the Kerch bridge where “nothing is happening” have appeared

UPD: Two missiles have been shot down over the bridge, Crimean Gauleiter Aksyonov writes.
The crossing is allegedly unharmed.

The smoke on the Crimean bridge is a smokescreen put up by emergency services, adds his “advisor” Kryuchkov. He says traffic on the bridge will resume soon. Believe?

Holidaymakers in Crimea: “four hit the bridge and more hit the shore”

MINUBILITIES rf: on the approach to the Kerch bridge “pe-ve-o” shot down a S-200 missile converted into a strike variant.

Meanwhile, Crimean Gauleiter Aksyonov had previously claimed two (Telegram: Contact @Pravda_Gerashchenko) downed missiles.

And the smoke, it turns out, has been re-activated

one hour later:

:zap::zap:Another smoke screen over the bridge. Eight explosions are reported.

“FROM THE ANALYST”

ATTRITION TAKES ITS TOLL

Amidst another wave of no less 39 low level mutinies this month in Russian army units caused by yet another unpaid wages cycle, the attrition issue is starting to hit home.
Russia has around 550,000 active soldiers of which 97% are said to be in Ukraine - a huge figure leaving little for any other operations even if they wanted to make such an effort.
On top of that, General Toplinsky of the VDV made a video telling his elite soldiers that half of them had died since the war began - a video that the Kremlin did its best to purge but failed to prevent going public in the west.
In most armies with any level of attrition new troops are trained and fielded to replace them. They never do match the initial professional f___es - they don’t have time to become that proficient, although you always have a number who will survive long enough to transmit experience and knowledge to new recruits.
Russia however has hamstrung itself with its mobiks, barely training them and sending them straight to the front to be chewed up in meat grinder assaults. Quantity matters more than capability and as such the ability of the army to deliver offensive results keeps cycling downward. All it can do is defend - and when it chooses to defend through attacks that don’t really go anywhere it depends its own resources even faster.
Much the same has happened with artillery, SAM batteries and EW units. In many ways these are even more heavily degraded. Not only have the Russians been loosing as much as a battalion of artillery a day and roughly one off the two types every other day at least - they loose highly trained operators and support crews. Once gone it takes ages to fully integrate a crew into an EW station or a sophisticated air defence system. Artillery too is less effective until they have time to get up to speed, which these days is done in the field.
These new artillery crews are green, they have less situational awareness and are often very aware of the reputation of drones and how easily they can be found and taken out. At the same time they don’t even have the time to become aware of nobody tells them, leading to more mistakes, greater exposure and loss.
Tank crews know they have low life expectancy, their behaviour when under pressure is to run away at the slightest excuse. Who can blame them?
Russian helicopter pilots are just as endangered. In recent weeks the dominance of the Alligator in the south has started to wane - British mobile air defence vehicles have a longer range than their ATGM’s and their losses have increased. Another prime example of how quickly an advantage in war can be overturned and become a problem.
Russian air f___e pilots - already a badly trained and poorly equipped group, have fared no better. High losses in tactical aviation, poorly maintained aircraft and bad weapons haven’t helped. Only the adoption of heavy glide bombs has kept them out of the firing line - for now. That too is changing as more and more air defences pop up in places they haven’t been before.
Then there’s the massive behind the lines strikes and on logistics and ammunition - there have been multiple incidents where Russians have nothing like what they need to sustain the fight.
That in turn leads to greater loss of equipment and casualties.
Will it change how Russia behaves? Almost certainly not. They have a solid an unbending mentality based on centrality.
Individual units have no room to do what’s best for them. If they were given it they wouldn’t know what to do with it, because that’s not how Russia works. The whole system just doesn’t function on initiative. Such traits are stifled out of existence and always have been.
Yes Russia can bring to best substantive elements and attempt to do things like Kupyansk- it may even get somewhere with it for a short time. But it will quickly expire. The question now is how, having degraded and attrited the Russians so well, does Ukraine take advantage of it? That’s what we have to wait and hope to see in the coming six weeks.

SLAVA UKRAINI :ukraine:

Almost all of Russia’s good / professional soldiers were k__led in the first few months of the war. Putin doesn’t care about losses not when he has such a large number of men he can call up at anytime. That is why the only thing I am slightly surprised about is that there has not been another draft by now. There is only so many you can use from prisons just as there is a limited number of people who volunteer. The Russian losses are huge and have to replaced let alone grow if he wants to push hard to win his illegal war.

Over all Russian soldiers are useless. They receive basic training (very, very basic) lack discipline and cannot use their own initiative because they constantly have to be told what to do. Give them an order, they carry it out and then STOP until they receive another order.

The video you shared of Russians on the beach
wow look at how many are there! Do they not understand how much danger they are in? Probably not because state controlled media isn’t telling them the truth. Nevertheless they are still STUPID because my common sense would tell me to stay away from any place where there is military activity. If they get k__led while there I would have no sympathy for them whatsoever. Idiots.

Meanwhile in the video below more war crimes. People living in areas of Ukraine under Russian control are being f___ed to swap their Ukrainian pass ports for Russian pass ports if they want medical care.
