@ Lukas156546  and he got no applause from anyone. TVP included this with Putin trying his best by dropping hints they should clap but he didn’t want to make it too obvious. I guess it is not exactly fashionable to applaud dictators in 2023.

I can think of one hand gesture perfect for the end of any speech by Putin…

Just a small point i noticed, i thought KFC had stopped business in Russia?

Hi @robwin nice to hear from you buddy. It seems Russian companies commissioned to supply some fast food outlets with produce are still working / supplying. Obviously it doesn’t look good for KFC even though they mutually agreed on sanctions by supposedly withdrawing from Russia. It seems management of these ‘‘Local’’ places / outlets are still capitalizing on the name and that seems to be the problem / crime.

I guess we will have to wait to see what becomes of this issue long term. Nearly all major brands in soft _____s for example have left but Russia has replaced very popular Western _____s with similar ‘‘Sounding’’ brands in English in trying to address the shortfall. I’ll add a link here from a YouTuber living in Moscow.

Fast forward to 19:45 in his video to see what I mean and watch from there.

Russian OWNED Supermarket After 1 Year of Sanctions

Sorry pal but the Kremlin Food Corporation seems to be thriving

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva proposes that Ukraine cede the Crimean peninsula to Russia to end the war.

Le Figaro reports, citing da Silva’s statement at a meeting with journalists in Brazil on April 6.

Direct speech of the Brazilian president: (Russian President Vladimir Putin) “cannot seize the territory of Ukraine. Maybe we will discuss Crimea. But he has to think about the fact that he has invaded… Zelenskyy cannot want everything either… The world needs peace… We have to find a solution.”

:exclamation:The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has responded to the Brazilian president’s proposal to give Crimea to Russia.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko said that Ukraine does not trade its territories - there is no legal or moral reason to give up even a centimeter of land, and all mediation efforts for peace should be based on respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty.

Hi @sparky, yeah am still around but much less than i was in this circus, just how much can you watch of this crap still less said about that the better i think.
I do like to keep up with this discussion topic though it can be very eye opening.
I must say i am surprised if not shocked as to how little sanctions have made to the shopping aspect especially in this supermarket as they certainly ain’t starving are they.
Even well known western brands are still in abundance it seems.
Baby products like Huggies and Pampers.
A_____l products like Jonnie Walker and Baileys etc.
Nestles seem to be everywhere even spotted Gillette in the shaving section lol.
Also the choice of products is amazing, never seen such a wide range even over here in the UK, then again i am a country bumpkin lol.
It is certainly an eye opening video of the shopping aspect in Russia after a year of so called sanctions.
No doubt we shall speak again pal, take care eh :+1:

Bit pointless really as you wil only get crap and lies from Putin and his aides.
Makes you wonder whose side Twitter is on

As Musk being a Trump supporter it is pretty obvious who’s side is on :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

@John78 From everything I have been reading and watching I get the impression Putin is planning a long war as it seems he will try and drive his useless point through no matter what. He doesn’t care about his own troops. Mobilization of 400,000 will simply be more for the meat grinder and when they have all been k__led he will simply mobilize another 400,000 and not lose a nights s___p over it. He has been blaming the west all along making it a good selling point to Russia’s people for continuing the war. Sadly a lot of Russian people still believe his BS and sadly the war will most likely get a lot worse before we see an end in sight.
