Discussion about Russian invasion of Ukraine

An interesting report about the Kyrgyz Republic:

The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Russia warns its compatriots who are temporarily on the territory of the Russian Federation not to participate in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“In accordance with Article 256 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyzstan’s involvement in hostilities on the territory of foreign states is punishable by imprisonment of up to ten years and confis__tion of property,” the embassy recalls.

“If citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic receive a call to participate in hostilities, the Embassy asks to immediately contact the Kyrgyz Diplomatic Mission in Russia,” the statement continued.

Vladimir Putin announces partial military mobilisation to fight Ukraine war

US Says “American Tanks For Ukraine Absolutely On The Table” Will Ukraine receive Deadly M1 Abrams Tanks?

Did Putin’s threats backfire?

So after Putin called for military conscription, are we going to see male participants in Russian apartments leave the project because they would be called to military service ?

Very unlikely as only the ones with military service done and with experience in fighting are going to be called

He hasnt called for this, hes called for reservists mobilisation, huge difference

Military service is mandatory in Russia for every male citizen. So assuming that males participants on VHTV have completed their military service, they might be called

They can’t fly out at all

Only if they have been fighting before, not all the reservists are called

No its true for Russia now too

Yes, they can. Just reading the fact that since yesterday all the flights going to countries where no VISA is needed are fully booked. Also one ticket for Dubai was today around 5000$

They are banned from flying unless they have authorization from the defense menistry

Putin only decreed partial mobilization to avoid congestion at border crossings.

It’s all about saber rattling. He’s mad at the push back and at the NATO for helping the Ukranians. I hope Russia and Putin dont actually believe that they are the only ones with nuclear ability The west is loaded with precise arms. Even some that no on knows about.

What he is doing now is just a political movement to give his people the illusion of some winnings. They can`t win on the battlefield and then are doing these so-called referendums to give the false impression that they have won these territories…

I know this is CNN but fast forward to 5:42 for an expert opinion in what could happen next. Personally I don’t think adding 300k extra troops will be the game changer Putin expects. Their logistics up to now has been disastrous and would really need to improve in feeding, heating, arming and maintaining 300k extra personnel and equipment.

If there was ever a tactical nuclear strike we would most likely see that happen well away from any front line. Probably somewhere soft like snake Island or in the area of Odesa to send his message. But even then its doubtful because of the dangers of fall out. He would be totally crazy to use them. It would be a major turning point not just in Ukraine but the World. Think about it, the use of a nuclear bomb since WW2!! I don’t think even China would stand by that because Russia can’t justify their use unless Russia came under nuclear attack.

Biden is on his feet now at the UN council. I am watching his speech live and so far he has been very critical. He is still talking and what he has to say next remains to be seen.

Putin issues ominous nuclear threat after losses in Ukraine

The West should say today, not tomorrow exactly like this:

  • we give all possible weapons to Ukraine, no limits. ATACMS, tanks, planes, everything.
  • all territories occupied by Russia must be returned to Ukraine. We will support all of Ukraine’s war effort, with no time or money limit, until that happens
  • no one will attack Russian territory as long as Russia does not attack NATO countries.
  • if Russia uses chemical or nuclear weapons in Ukraine, we will launch a military operation through which all troops involved in the war on the part of Russia will be eliminated in 48 hours. And the total blockade on Russia - anyone who transports them even a grain of grain or a molecule of gas falls under total sanctions of the entire West. It can be German or Greek or Austrian, it doesn’t matter, it will be sanctioned unilaterally by the USA and the UK and that’s enough
It’s simple and clear, in the language that Russians understand.

As long as the other two are ahead of them :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

@John78 That would be the right way to deal with this. Western countries need to unit even more and stand strong against Putin. He is testing us all again as he tests the water. That water needs to be at boiling point for him to get the message and GET OUT of Ukraine.

Yes, that is exactly what he`s doing. He knows that the only way for him to win, is to destroy the Unity of Western Countries against his war.
