Discussion about Russian invasion of Ukraine

All i will say is that i find it difficult to comprehend,in this modern world, that any russian person is ovlivious to what is going on and to carry on partying etc like they are is disgusting to say the least.knowing that Ukraine is simply being destroyed along with it’s people.
Especially as many probably voted for Putin as there was no other serious contender in their elections. So yes they have to accept much of the guilt for Putins crimes.

The behavior is no different from any other country that has participated in past unrest, colonization, and wars.

They aren’t going to show the empathy you are expecting as it does not directly impact them, sadly, that is the selfish nature of humans today. Until it impacts them personally, life is fine.

yet you are a premium subscriber and watch them

You know that do you?

Doesn’t mean to say i watch most of them now,not done for a while now.

Ja Bulgarien ist EU gg

thats fair enough but you are wrong assuming people dont give a fuck just because they are having fun

In most cases - “guilt by association” applies. Obviously the majority of Russian are content and support their ruthless leader who doesn’t care about people (even his own people as he talks about cleansing).

Just thought of a way to shut down a large portion of phones in Russia.

I used to have a company that developed apps for mobiles and the predominant mobile in Russia is the iPhone of various versions.

For the iPhone to work, it has to send a handshake to Apple’s servers to allow the applications to work as it sends an ID key back to the application. This ID key also covers calls, the clock, WiFi etc… So all Apple have to do is to turn off that handshake and it would cripple the iPhone network in Russia.

Apple would never do it though as it would be financial suicide if things in the future were to stabilise.

Makes you think though if Anonymous has ever thought of this? I think I may wander over to Twitter. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

And you think the whites didn’t have a dark history from the Blacks. Might want to do some research on the Barbary Coast all the white slaves the Blacks had… Oh and what they did to them. This race card has no bearing on what you are seeing here. Yes The people should get involved… Try to stop the unjust inversion “WAR”… there crazy leader is waging. JMO

whoa… the point that @NEED2p made went straight over your head, didn’t it…
There was no race card played, they simply made the point of what horrific actions that one person of a certain culture, creed or nationality takes, does not tar the rest of the people from that same culture, creed or nationality for them.
They did not make any claim that there are not evil people of black, white, asian or other origins, they were just using their own experience as an example.
Let’s not make this something it’s not.

Then race should not have been brought in to it at all. Nothing to do with each other. This is a case of a dictator commenting war crimes and can be stopped by the people with in. They are not inocent if they know the truth… JMO

I, in fact 100% agree with your point that Russians pretty much will all know what is going on at this point and where many may oppose Putin, many more support him and therefore sanctions should affect ALL Russian citizens. That is my view.
@NEED2p has the view of one persons actions should not lead to punishment and hatred towards others like him, obviously they are allowed that opinion. Race was only mentioned as an example of @NEED2p not having a negative view of others despite their own personal experiences - I saw nothing there as an attempt to villify anyone or make a political, racial statement, just something to give context their view… and that’s coming from the pastiest white guy you’ll ever meet.

Russian apartments not allowed to be marked as such due to the security of the tenants is the biggest BS excuse. Russia is a huge place and people are going to be able to find a tenant because the site says they are in Russia. The Ukrainians least worry at the moment is being found by a stalker viewer because the viewers know they live in Ukraine; their worry is a fucking RUSSIAN bomb or missile might strike their apartment at any time.

Perfectly understandable that the Russian tenants do not know what is going on as the Russian propaganda machine is working. The close of the apartments will definitely make the Russians start asking questions as to why this is happening, if they choose to still believe that the west is bad and Russia is good and all the other lies then they do not deserve one fucking penny from the west, where the majority of viewers are. Stop making excuses for Russians and trying to get around sanctions. War is hard, innocent Ukrainian babies, women and men are dying every single day because of Russians the same age as the Russian tenants being in the army and firing bombs and missiles at those people. 100% down with anything Russian until the war stops and Putin is removed.

@Caelen Thank you for understanding, I also appreciate your points and others raised regarding sanctions on all Russian Citizens. I don’t paint everyone with the same brush, they’ll have to give me a reason to do so.

I guess for the people of Russia to rise against Putin, their worlds would also need to be disrupted as they’ve never seen before, and the sanctions will get their attention.

@1313_Mockingbird_Ln This is not a platform you’d ever see me on having a dialogue about racial issues. The way you responded, is one of the reasons I would not.

Racial conversations are reserved for people in my inner circle. I’ve never played the race card, and I sure would not do it now, especially here. I am nobody’s victim!

This is an international forum with viewers from all over the world expressing their views on the war. The tenants have a choice to read the forum and get views others than what they are given by the state media. Their lack of comments would indicate that they do not believe the viewers or in most probability could not give a toss as it distracts from their own lives which viewers are totally fascinated by. If memory serves me right a tenant did come on the forum and strongly expressed his agreement with the war. VHYV simply booted him from the project The viewers can agree with the decision but at least the tenant did share an opinion, it was his right and he got punished for it. The silence by the other tenants is an indication that they support the war but do not want to voice an opinion as it might result in them being booted. Comments such as this is a small site and Putin could not give a toss of its existence, therefore allowing viewers to voice their strong anti-war messages giving tenants a chance to read other views. If that is the case, why would the tenants be fearful of giving an opinion? 100% down with anything Russian until the war stops and Putin is removed.

This is nonsense.

That is your opinion which you have a right to.

The war is affecting the whole world in some way or another. Just check your wallet at the end of the month and see how much lighter it is due to spiraling costs. Ukrainians do not just have that problem; they live in fear of being k__led every day. This is all due to RUSSIA invading an independent sovereign country. Many say it is simply because of one man but this is simply not true. Putin has many people who help him. The majority of Russians believe the state media. The army may have been lied to, but they also believed the state media. Without support from his generals and others Putin could not carry on this war.

If the tenants, choose to ignore this forum then lets response by ignoring them by shutting down their apartments. Let the tenants be affected by this war just as the whole world has been. Let’s stop the ostrich head in the sand syndrome and make them aware that there is a war that has been started by their country. Ignorance is simply no excuse and if they choose to remain ignorant then it is up to the viewers to make them aware and shutting them down will certainly make them aware. Also, the upside to shutting down the Russian apartments is the Ukrainians would obviously get the most views thus receiving the income they deserve.
