It seems that Putin believes any form of assistance to Ukraine is an act of war.
However, he has yet to act on his threats. He, like the other countries, is not willing to start an international war (cough, cough, he already has), in the sense of attacking other countries directly.
So this “restraint” should be looked at carefully. Is he just waiting for someone else to start what he has provoked?
Note: I am talking about threats internationally, beyond Ukrainian borders. There is no doubt of what he has done to Ukraine, but with his words, it appears that he is just tempting everyone.
This is not uncommon. Older generations, internationally, are often more conservative and traditional. While, on the other hand, younger generations, who have enjoyed the taste of freedom, technology, the greater good of humanity, are more prone to vote for a democratic society.
My wife’s grandm____r still is angry at the Brits and Americans for bombing her home during WW2. Fortunately, she likes me.
Russian authorities are taking measurements against people hoarding. You know what this will mean. People will start hoarding.
The Russian government issued antihoarding measures and price controls, amid a slew of punishing economic sanctions from the West.
Authorities said major retail chains could restrict the sale of a number of “socially important goods,” such as food staples, and limit how high they mark up their prices. The measures were aimed at possible speculation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said Saturday.
The ministry said cases of hoarding had been recorded in several regions. Certain goods were bought all at once “in an obviously larger volume than necessary for private consumption (up to several tons) for subsequent resale,” the ministry said. It said the decision was taken “to ensure that citizens have the opportunity to purchase affordable products." It didn’t specify the exact items on which restrictions would be placed.
The Russian state news agency, TASS, reported that some retailers had agreed to limit markups on a number of items, including dairy products, bakery goods and sugar, to 5%.
Tears in my eyes as Ukranian families arriving in Poland, given food, _____s, etc, what really got me was when they gave Cuddly toys to the kids and there faces lit up ,i have grandc___dren and this was heartbreaking.Well done Poland and other countries helping refugees ,hopefully the UK will do the same in time.
In my probably still somewhat naive world view, It is so important for the people of Russia to take power away from Putin and into their own hands to end this inhumane war. I know how hard it will be, but I don’t see any other way. I want us all to live together peacefully in this world.
It is a strange feeling. You see all the Russian residents, most of whom seem to be really decent people, and yet now we have to ask yourself whether we should or should not continue to be a customers of VHTV. I made my decision today. I will not renew with VHTV for the time being, although I wish only the best for everyone in this project. I’m doing it because I’m convinced that it’s important for the people in Russia to take action and do something against Putin. The more people in Russia wake up, the more it will be impossible for Putin to realize his goals, which, according to his speech, clearly go beyond Ukraine. Every contribution that leads to peace is an important contribution. Now even more than normally.
All of this really makes me very very sad, but I would more ashamed, if I betrayed my principles just for my voyeur kink. I hope for better times.
Its typical tabloid headlines but I must admit, I already thought Putin doesn’t look normal. He has added weight and appears quite puffed / swollen in the face.
