I meant to reply to this weeks ago. Very sorry.

Thank you. I’m very glad you like it. Much appreciated.

Some of my meds make me s___p at any time, just like someone turned off a switch, but I don’t know they’re doing it. And sometimes when that happens, I’ll wake up 2-3 hours later and have no idea what I was doing or was going to do.

Sometimes, there are even new apps open on the screen that I kinda “butt-dialed”. It’s all rather frustrating. Today, I have done nothing but s___p.

You welcome. I really like the topics with a more mundane theme, although I sometimes tend to forget about them. I guess I’m too easily distracted by nude girls and…well, cats

…that the English expression “Better late than never” translates literally word for word to Norwegian.

Better late than never = Bedre sent enn aldri. That is word for word, and it means exactly the same.

More often than not. expressions, sayings and slang do not translate well from one language to another. So remeber to be careful and think twice before you do it.

Sorry, did I write something that didn’t translate? Please let me know. Thanks.

No, certainly not. I think you misunderstand a little. I used the saying “better late than never” as part of the answer to your apology for being late with your answer to one of my posts. Then it struck me that this saying translates word for word from English to Norwegian, with the excat same meaning.

The last part of my post, which you refer to, is a general observation aimed at all forum members, reminding them that this as not always the case. Clever and witty piuns, sayings and expressions more often than not don’t translate well from one language to another. I suspect that some of the disagreement and hassle we sometimes have on the forum come from misunderstandings of this kind.

Now back to topic.

Whether this longevity proves that fart jokes are the best jokes ever, or that fart jokes are the most worn out jokes there is, may be a quiestion for another day :grinning:

…that Wilt Chamberlain is the reason players have to stay behind the foul line when shooting a free throw.

While at KU, thanks to his 7’ height, 7’8” wingspan, and 50” vertical, he would start from top of the key, leap before the foul line, and dunk the ball before he touched the ground in the lane.

I’m not a sports fan of any kind, but I thought this was just amazing!
