I assumed they removed it for painting purposes Kelly was painting that area recently.
He mentioned in a previous post that he knows a fair bit of the Russian language.

I think that Dexter’s appearance was really enhanced by his new hair style. Normally, I don’t pay attention to much of anything about a guy’s appearance, but in this case, the improvement was really noticeable. I already liked Kelly so it’s nice to see Dexter become a little more “worthy” of being with her.
