I can’t believe that I’m going to actually have this conversation. Physically disab__d people can make their own decisions. If someone lost a finger they would be considered physically disab__d but it doesn’t change that they think for themselves. Having a deaf participant isn’t taking advantage of them because they are perfectly fine mentally
But making a show of her disability is not OK

I’m scratching my head at this… What show or spotlight has been put on this? This is literally the first mention of it out side of someone in the forum asking what kind of sign language they used. There would be viewers who would have no idea that there is a deaf participant, I know this because i was one of them until recently
