I would just like to make it known that my thoughts are with all of those affected by the recent tragic event in Germany, whilst celebrating the Pride event.
Nobody, in any situation, in public or private, should have to feel unsafe like that and my heart goes out to the family and friends of the person who was killed and those who were injured in this horrible attack.
Just saw this on the news ticker: a shooting in an allotment garden area; the suspected perpetrator was apparently shot down.
I just hope it was the right person, and not just someone who wanted to pick a fight with the police…
This original one involved a vehicle (a car, it was reported, on our news here in the UK) being driven into a crowd and then the driver using a blade of some description, against the crowd.
Also in the news: the whole thing was obviously an islamic attack on the CSD… or at least planned as one.
At this point, it isn’t even clear whether the victims were CSD participants or simply joggers or dog walkers in the park… because the CSD event site is still several hundred meters away.
Whatever the perpetrator intended to achieve, the only thing he truly accomplished through his hatred of those who think and live differently is making his entire community, including all those who want nothing to do with it or even look like they come from that region of the world, an even greater target for hatred from the political right…and increasingly from the political center as well.
