Yeah, never liked that idea .but then in the 50 & 60s a lot of homes also
Had the space heaters in the wall. I worked in several homes with both.
I believe most of that changed in the 70’s. Glad u never had any issues

Probably the aggressor can’t have his name on the apartment for what he did (or isn’t reliable, so doing again as guest most probably isn’t so serious (€€€) as being tenant), so they get this scheme but are the ones using the best bedroom
