No. Cats do not jump out of windows. They know it is dangerous. The incident with poor Morris happened as there was a curtain in front of open window and he did not see where he jumped. Open windows with cats are not a problem.

Morris was at the window side of curtain playing with it and Mila jumped at the moving curtain ( as cats would do) pushing Morris accidently out the window.

I watched a little on the timeline, and Mila was circling around the couch and window after the accident, like she was looking for Morris. Damn, I have to admit I teared up then
