August 2025: The Final Heatwave contest (rules and discussion)

August 2025: The Final Heatwave

Contest duration: One month, from August 1 to August 31. The brightest events, parties, and meetups on VHTV! Everything exciting, unusual, and hot — all that will make your summer unforgettable!

A separate forum thread will be created for each event. Links to these threads and announcements will be posted in the comments below.

Watch the events! Bring the most vibrant and interesting screenshots — but only post them in the comment section of the corresponding event thread!

:pushpin: Screenshots posted outside the event’s thread will not be counted during like tally and will not take part in the contest.
:pushpin: Only screenshots from the actual event timeline are accepted (based on the declared event dates).
:pushpin: Only accounts created before August 1, 2025, 00:00 (UTC+2) are allowed to participate.
:pushpin: Off-topic posts, spam, and irrelevant content will be deleted.

:date: Timeline

  • Starting September 1 at 00:00 (UTC+2), no new events will be scheduled or held. The contest thread will be closed.
  • During the next 2–3 days, we will count the total likes for each event’s screenshots and determine the results.

:trophy: Prizes

:tada: For TENANTS - category “Brightest Party”

Top 3 events with the most total likes on screenshots in their event thread win prizes.

:warning: If one realm hosts multiple top-rated events in the Top 3, only the one with the most likes will count. Other places will go to the next events in the ranking, but from other realms.

:sports_medal: For TENANTS - Category “Most Active Realm”

Based on number of events in Top 10; in case of a tie, total likes are counted; in case of full tie, the prize is shared or may not be awarded) – 1st to 3rd place, 1–3 winners

:wrapped_gift: For USERS - Random Draw

Among all users who posted screenshots in event threads, we will randomly draw prizes: from 1 to 7 days of access to VHTV (Standard for free users, Premium for paying users). The number of days (1–7) will be randomly determined. Each user can receive only one prize in this category.

:glowing_star: For USERS - Top 5 Users with Most Liked Screenshots

5 users whose screenshot post gets the highest number of likes will each receive 1 week of free Premium. Only one post per user is counted - the one with the most likes. If several posts from the same user get the same number of likes, only the earliest one is counted.

If more than 5 users get the same maximum number of likes, 5 winners will be randomly selected from them.

:warning: Attention, UK users: to receive a prize, you must be verified on the VHTV website.

Does that mean the realms will announce events and you will create a topic for them where we can post our stuff in?

Or the topics should be made by us and we will think about a creative name for the event? The problem could be in that case that multiple topics for the same event will be created which have different names..

Yes! I’ll create a topic for each event, and also comment with a link in main post, so that it’s more convenient to track. Also each event will be announced via our Telegram channel, and also in News section on VHTV

Ah that makes it easier to follow and less confusing. Thanks for clarifying :hugs:

what is with events, that are not announced, like Purrpaw’s camshow right now (2025-08-02 00:00 her time)?

I don’t think that has anything to do with summer. And besides that VHTV stated in the past they don’t promote webcamming

Of course. If anyone thinks it might be an appropriate summer event and people like it that’s okay. I just don’t have to like it.

We thought of even like more of a party or at least nice gathering with friend/friends. Not even necessarily very summerish. But yes, it’s supposed to be announced to competition

@kaya May I propose a change of rules for that contest?

I see a big problem with the announcement of events or parties before.

  • It puts participants under certain pressure to “perform”
  • It is unpredictable what will happen. Guests can change their minds or if they show up might be in a different mood.
  • So in most cases this is not even the fault of the participant if a party does not take place or takes a different outcome.
  • There can be also force majeur like ISP issues or similiar (Preparing a big party and then getting hit by ISP issues and therefore not earning anything will even make them lose money)
  • In the end viewers might get angry and the respective participant(s) might lose reputation so the event will be even worse for them.

Three examples of parties which were pre-announced and did not happen that way (One within the contest) :

  1. Hawaiian style party at the mansion (None of the guests showed up dressed for such a party. Not the fault of participants. In the end was an ordinary party)
  2. Lolas gangbang party (The guys decided to show up already early in the morning, place got ISP issues during the early party and everybody left. Not fault of the participant again)
  3. Kamilas “Guess who” party (I am pretty sure it was not her fault at all that nobody showed up)

Long story short I think we should do the following:

  1. Get rid of the announcements and the creation of each topic for an event
  2. Let’s make one big topic where everybody can post within the rules of the contest (Only screenshots or short clips from the actual stream or timeline)
  3. Posts are only valid if realm name is provided and some explanation why it fits the summer theme
  4. At the end likes will be counted and prices distributed accordingly

This will have many advantages:

  • No realm needs to bother about annoucements and planning of events. They are all participating all the time.
  • No hassle for participants or managers with announcements
  • No dissatisfied viewers who are waiting for events who do not take place or take place in a different way.
  • A lot less confusing for viewers here where and when to post

Thank you for your suggestions – we would like to proceed with our rules, but may consider it for future events😇

Alright. Let’s take it into account for future events :hugs:

We though of these clarifications before launch, but since only voters are viewers – most appropriate, fun and MOST LIKED event will win anyway, and it alsovgives more space for tenants to enjoy the contest not only prizes  But we will see how it went and probably change rules based on experiment
