Why what does it mean
9th of May is the National holiday of Russia. And as Putin will use it for his disgusting Propaganda for me everybody celebrating it is supporting the war.

So is your issue with what the day represents or what Putin might say on the day tomorrow?
My issue is that it is inappropriate to celebrate that day at these times. The people of a nation inflicting the biggest war since WWII should be deeply ashamed and not celebrate. And it is totally obvious that day will only be used for propaganda…

But Russia is not the only country to celebrate “victory day” over the Germans, their country and also in fact Ukraine are one of several other countries that also observe May 9th so just because they are celebrating this day doesn’t mean that they actually support any current war
For me it does. I am pretty sure nobody in Ukraine will celebrate 9th of May this year…

Well they show their true faces by celebrating. So I will blacklist them for me and also requested VHTVs opinion on that topic.
As a German, I understand and respect anyone who intends to celebrate tomorrow in view of the importance it has had so far.
but whether it’s really appropriate at the moment… that’s another question. I fully agree with jabbath
depending on how rasputin, aka putler, misuses tomorrow’s appointment for his purposes, i expect that this day will be viewed with different eyes in the future
we in germany know something similar. with us it is e.g. November 9th. bad things happened that day in the past, but the last big event was the fall of the wall. everything else is not forgotten, but the youngest makes up for how the day is seen now. that’s exactly what i expect from the russians
