VHTV will eventually cover more and more languages with people around the world. This will expose more private information as participants share it either accidentally or on purpose. No matter what language you speak, we always warn everyone connecting to VHTV platform that they are responsible for the information they share, while we do everything to keep their privacy on our end.

This results into such discussions and there may be more of this. And there can’t be limits, apart from recommendation to trust participants themselves or VHTV team. I only advise to make your own judgements on what other people may say. I personally would not believe anything unless there would be some kind of transcription I could verify myself and translate via available methods. So, make your own conclusions, folks. If participants care about their private information being leaked, they must be careful with what they discuss & do under cameras in some specific cases.

I assume participants in question do not care that much about what may be discussed here, so why would we all in the end? This should not cover explicitly private information about personas, locations, and other stuff which may be used in malicious attack vector of social engineering & de-anonymization. This is particularly strict rule I would like to keep in order to be able to provide elementary security to participants themselves.

Exactly, they know very well they are on public viewing and that we can see and hear what they do and say.
Be it on their own head to accept these simple factual happenings, we can not be held responsible for discussing things which they say as it’s being broadcast worldwide.

As I said, participants often share a lot of private things here out of carelessness.

They said that the participants themselves are responsible for this … on the other hand, for a while it was even forbidden to say which flats are in Russia, which in my opinion is not a danger, because Russia is very big and it is rather impossible to find them.

I find the translation of medical histories and similar things more worrying.

You can find private addresses very often, just look at the stickers on the delivery services when they are placed right next to the camera.

It doesn’t really matter whether a VHTV Peter is really called Igor.

You can see that many participants still believe that almost nobody speaks Russian when things are discussed on the phone or on site and then other things are communicated in the forum.

I see this partly with amusement and think to myself …

I can imagine from 50 to 200 Realms & different prices for 50-100 -150 - or 200 Realms Sound Good !!

I see eye to eye with you on this, and the only thing we all can do here is to address our concerns towards participants or VHTV Team (VHTV Support) in case we believe something may be causing danger to their well-being.

I understand where you are coming from but the internet is a very public and unforgiving medium. Once something is said it is out there and no rules or regulations will prevent this.
To try and prevent members from discussing this is ridiculous as once said never forgotten.
The only way VHTV can prevent, this, if you value this privacy rule that much, is to cut off all sound which would then destroy the whole principle of viewer participation.
Or in the absolute final option is to ban the forum as you will never block our ears

When participants sign a proper agreement with VHTV there will be no problem
In my opinion Members should not come into contact with participants such as exchanging phone numbers, messages etc. only when participants wish, to avoid all these misunderstandings.

That got me thinking… we could also alter the voices seamlessly to some synthetic language like the one they used in Sims franchise

Jk, we’d better focus on improving sound & image quality

You can already restrict it a little in the form that if passport contents are visible or even addresses on delivery services … that you do not save them as an image in the forum …

but then many want an automatic translation …

Standard version => in English
Delux version => in desired language

 :joy:
