Love for one another is no always about having sex.
Ariela probably solves her need outside the apartment and Seb checks the phone and jerks off in the evenings.
Mutual love does not mean never paying attention to your partner and reducing him to constantly masturbating. Thinking that to make a relationship work you can be happy by secretly watching your partner fuck someone else is a form of perversion that has nothing to do with a normal relationship between a couple.
But it seems to be enough for them to live the way they do. If things were different, they would certainly change.
