Reviews were mixed at the time, but I liked it. and the daft punk soundtrack was just brilliantly fitting
some time ago ‘lord of the rings’, now both ‘tron’ … apparently they have access to my media library 
@Sebastian what do you think of russian fantasy/scifi? i’ve watched a few over the years, ‘ночной дозор/дневной дозор’ e.g., or ‘Притяжение’ and ‘Вторжение’, or the Гоголь trilogy, just to name a few

No, they live close enough. But they also experience difficulties with work and free time (
“Дозор” was still interesting at the time of its release as a novelty …
But everything that is now produced by Russian cinema is extremely doubtful.
We like the old films of the USSR more: кин-дза-дза. приключения электроника, два капитана…
and many others…
There is a lot of mutual help and kindness …

Дозор… I’ve read all of them, including most of Lukyanenko’s other books. from time to time i need a change from the typical western style of writing. it is not uncommon for me to end up with scandinavian authors or, depending on the topic, with russian ones
and as for the dubious: you will find that everywhere. in pretty much every american scifi book, the american is the only one who can save the world. and in political thrillers, the russians are usually the bad guys… hidden propaganda everywhere.
if you read the books by tom clancy or dale brown from the 80s and 90s, you shouldn’t be surprised if americans always think like they did in the cold war
very important: the two handles on the side of the tub for easier ‘mounting’
these ‘partner-toys’ are good, but unfortunately sometimes they are also quite an accelerator/fun-shortener
mine are currently missing, i only have the charging cable hanging here, i currently have no idea where the devices ended up. luckily or unfortunately I don’t need them at the moment anyway …
