For those who are slow on the uptake: I have already explained the situation. Here is a summary of the most important facts:

Situation update: Ariela’s apartment is being sold and is getting a new owner. Ariela could remain as a tenant, but as is not uncommon in such cases, the new owner wants to renegotiate the rent…

Simultaneously, the search for a new apartment is ongoing, regardless of whether she has to move (She does want to, though)

Whether she will sign a new contract or find another apartment … is still unclear.

the risk of immediate eviction has thus become ‘she can stay, but is still looking for another apartment, just without time pressure’
