Would you please consider re-instating your post? I read the deleted version (by clicking the little orange pencil icon) and you certainly made a very valid point. The same principle applies in terms of what you wrote, to Aderyn’s name. I chose his and I have seen it misspelt on a number of occasions, including (slight ironically) by the man himself!

Oh I deleted it because my tone was off. But basically I said that people are misspelling MALkus as MARkus and he was specifically named Malkus after the mythical being of the same name whose name means ‘the destroyer’ (also a well known villain in a video game). Markus was a participant in his own right, therefore Malkus cannot be Markus.

I chose Guido too, regretting that now.

I originally chose Guy, but Jabbs said it would be too confusing as people refer to guys as ‘that guy’. so I amended it to Guido (technically the same name), but that seems like it’s way off beam now.
Yeah Guy really would be a bit confusing. Guido is a good name.
Not sure why it’s “off beam” as you put it. If it means ‘guy’, then it remains accurate, for very obvious reasons. If however, you are referring to people’s opinions of the man himself, that’s not YOUR problem (as the person who chose the name)!
Hmmm. Bit late now anyway. He could though have chosen a new one when he had his own apartment. So he can’t be too displeased with it. Ah well, such is life.
It’s a good name, very well chosen.
