Alicia & Aderyn

Yes please don’t bring me into this kind of thing in the future (well not here anyway). You know my feelings for certain people associated with this realm…one in particular.

Again, sorry about that.

My apologies to @Coy100709 , @Cookies and @John78 for my reactions to your respective posts. I simply have certain sensitivities where particular participants / guests are concerned. I can’t apologise for the reasoning behind them but I will, for how they manifest themselves sometimes.

No worries, the post was just to have a little fun with the couchsurfers. I’m pretty sure everybody has participants they’re not fond of.

Apologies not needed, we’re all here to have fun.

Ah well in this case, it’s because of people I am (very) fond of, that I went into rather defensive mode.

For me I’m just testing myself how much Russian I remember, with not much luck being over 50 years ago.

I can speak the tiniest amount of it - a greeting (hello), say thank you and utter few swear words…nothing more!

When I took Russian, the instructor had us put small balls of twine in our mouths to help us with pronunciation. I don’t know if it helped, I lasted 2 semesters

I suspect Aderyn and the ‘gang’ here might say the same about learning English. Mind you, I have actually heard Aderyn say a few words of English on more than one occasion and it was MUCH better than my Russian.

I’ve heard numerous participants speak english  don’t think learning from movies is a good choice. I give them credit for putting out the effort, as I would if I were to visit Russia.

Yes exactly, that is what counts and I wasn’t referring in this case to anything that would have been learnt in a movie.

I know what you meant  all the countries I’ve been too you realize some do learn english from movies and songs. I had a f____r in Guatemala bring his kids to the bar to practice their english. It was a good time :grinning:

Well I can’t remember what this was specifically (it was some time ago, not all that long after Aderyn first appeared on VHTV on September 27th 2021 and started living in this apartment as a guest of Yan shortly after that first appearance date) but it was as if he was reciting, from memory, a passage of dialogue in English. He himself might remember doing that, and be willing to elaborate as to what it was all about. I must admit, I did find it interesting at the time.

What a great way to practice :grinning: don’t know how airports where I’ve heard “Why don’t they speak english” Those people need to stay home.

sher face is like a mixture of wynona and flora

She seems rather interested in Aderyn and what he’s doing. Mind you, that’s perfectly understandable! :innocent:

Gotcha :yum: :yum: :yum: :yum:

I can clearly get the Wynona resemblance, but Flora??  :man_shrugging: :man_shrugging:

Hope you have not the problems with three most repeated words of russian language - х…й б…ть п…ц?
