On my newsfeed this morning there were middle-aged people bemoaning the fact that there are still a lot of teenage pregnancies occurring . Given that , in most of the world , the age of consent is below 19 , teen pregnancies should not be surprising BUT if all teens were allowed access to contraceptive advice and the medical profession would supply contraceptive devices for free (pro-actively for preference) rather than the current regime would that assist in lowering the rate? Would access to internet porn (which IMO should clearly be labelled with the legalities of rape) create a healthier teen population?
Was this in America by any chance?
Edit: If it is, America loves to promote that by televising “teen moms” for years…. “Oh, if I get pregnant, I might be on Teen Moms”
Not America……although I gather they have different ages of consent in different States.
