Accessing timeline of offline apartments

Correct me if I’m wrong. When an apartment is offline, for whatever reason, we can’t access its camera footage at all.

When I go online I want to check out what my favorite darlings have been up to for the last 24 hours.

So the live stream is offline. Fine. But why can’t we access the cams anyway, with a black screen that says “stream offline”? Then we could at least check out the parts of the timeline that are not flatlining.

I assume the timeline content comes from your central servers, so why should accessing it be a problem only because the live stream is offline at the moment?

Where should the data for the timeline come from when the place is offline? :wink:

Ich schätze mal, Julio meint, dass zum Beispiel um 21 Uhr ein Ort offline geht und um 23 Uhr wieder online ist. Wenn er nun um 22 Uhr den Ort aufruft, wird er offline angezeigt…logisch…aber er möchte dann gern die Zeit VOR 21 Uhr anschauen (als der Ort noch online war). Dies kann er aber nach bisherigen Stand erst wieder, wenn der Ort wieder online ist. Daher seine Frage, ob die Timeline-Inhalte eventuell auf einem zentralen Server gespeichert werden, den man kontaktieren kann, wenn der eigentliche Ort offline ist.

I think technically should be possible. VHTV just has to implement it on site differently…

Yes, it’s possible, and full release of our new platform for VHTV will create an ability to rework streaming this way in future :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

VHTV already said the release is gradually ongoing. Most changes you won’t notice…

Logical answer to that question…
It’s a timeline, it should simply be able to show PREVIOUS footage, not having to rely on a current ‘offline’ (or indeed ONline) livestream…makes perfect sense.

I usually the one that complain for things about vh but i have to say that forum had really helped a lot. Jabb is doing great work and support is really active and helpful. The only thing i miss is the interaction with the participants for exaple i would like to know if there planning anything for tonight or plans for the upcomming days

Understandable, especially (I guess) for people with limited amount of time so they can plan things around these events. On the other hand for some this might ruin the whole experience (the magic is in not knowing what will happen). Tough nut to crack this one. Personally - not knowing is lesser evil here.

@VHTV_James I wanted to watch the timeline of the last day Kamila was online, but because they are now offline I can’t see that part in the timeline. Why is that? I’m guessing that the timeline video is still there, it’s just somehow block from me being able to see it. Can this be fixed? I understand that the clock is ticking on the timeline, but it seems to me that I should be able to look at the timeline footage from the moment it goes offline for the next 23:59 hrs.

There is no way to do it as for now. This may be fixed in upcoming versions of VHTV. Moved your post into corresponding topic

Then why not just leave the apt open with the cams running for 24hr? Why should a payer lose access to cam footage they paid for?

The need to turn the apartment offline is bigger than demand of watching it’s timeline. This is decided by us.
There is no other solution, yet.
